NASA website indicated a 99.5 % eclipse for Bethel.  Sue and I walked the golf course and were pretty impressed how dark it became.  Even more, were the dark shadows we saw of ourselves.  Lots of people in Bethel in the am, the girl at the hardware store said it was mayhem. They sold out 200 pairs of viewing glasses and could have sold 100 more.  We would have driven further north if it wasn’t for our infirmities.  All in all, pretty impressive.
