Very perfect posting. For Betsy and I especially. It is that expression of God’s gifts that we worked to get to Rangeley and away from an urban environment where much of nature is either muted or hidden behind fences.
Here, those gifts are surrounding us every minute. We bath in crystal crisp air, drink the living water containing nothing unnatural and neighbors around town: walking and waving, talking to chat and just smiling with a friend. Not one person stumbling past us staring at a bleeping smartphone. There’s time and a strong desire to know “how are you doing?” Asked with genuine caring and ready to offer help or a hug when appropriate.
In simple words, we have found a closer to God environment. Even the church is an old, unheated log church with worn floors and oil lamp smoke stained walls. But it is beautiful in the simplicity.
God has always been generous with the beautiful gifts. I have often been too busy with modern life to even see them, never mind living in them. Amen
